Why it's worth having a plan B (and C, and D) in marketing projects

Post by nusaiba128 »

Life is a never-ending rollercoaster of surprises, and Marketing? That's a rollercoaster! So it's not worth putting everything on one card - it's better to have a few aces up your sleeve, i.e. different strategies. Because who knows what surprise the market has in store for us? Here's why it's worth having more strategies than one plan:

The world spins faster than you can say “viral content.” Trends v self employed database come and go at lightning speed. What was a total hit yesterday could be a bigger flop today than Cyberpunk 2077 was on release day.
The competition never sleeps (and sometimes plays unfairly). Your brilliant idea can be copied faster than you can say “patent pending.” Or worse, discredited by a malicious rival.
Technology can be capricious. System failures, software bugs, unexpected updates – all of these can sabotage even the best-planned campaign. That’s why it’s worth having a few analog solutions in reserve.
People are… well, people! Mistakes happen, even to the best of us. Sometimes one unfortunate word in a social media post can cause an avalanche of problems.
A crisis is… an opportunity? Yes, you read that right. A well-managed crisis can become an opportunity to show class. This is your chance to prove that you can get out of even the worst troubles unscathed.
