What are the 6 SEO challenges that brands can anticipate this year?
Let's take a look at the challenges that every marketer should be aware of.

1. Stay on top of changes in Google's algorithm
Google's algorithm is constantly being updated, and catalan email list marketers need to keep up. According to Moz , we've had 6 changes in 2022 - as of June - and 16 updates throughout 2021.

Every time an update comes out, the way Google views each web page changes, and this can be good or bad for your content production. In 2020, some websites lost positions in the SERPs, as you can see in the example below.

A user reported to Google that he had the first position for years and then in one night he lost 3-4 positions.
So, the tip to avoid these kinds of problems is to stay on top of your industry . Regardless of what kinds of changes arise, producing content on the main topics of your niche helps you get along with the algorithm.

2. Not ranking higher in search results
We are aware that SEO takes time to produce results, but to achieve them we must do all the homework. This means that every detail you have to do in terms of SEO counts to achieve a good position in Google results .

While some websites produce really great pieces of content, they forget to do things that seem silly, but are extremely important, such as:

Image
header tags ;
alternative text ;
keyword best practices ;
secondary keywords;
author's signature;
internal and external backlinks ;
build content based on a group of topics or Topic Clusters .
When these points (and many more) are missing, Google doesn't consider the content to be good and your ranking will probably not be high, especially after an update that takes these elements into account.

3. Using keywords incorrectly
A long time ago, in a search engine far away, keywords were enough to get websites to the first page of Google, even if the content was poor. But thankfully, those times have changed.

Nowadays, keywords alone are not enough to boost organic results, because what matters most is not the keyword itself, but the user intent behind the keyword .

So, before writing a content based on a keyword, use tools like Keyword Planner or SEMRush and perform a Google search with the keyword to understand what people are actually searching for. Take notes of all the topics you find and use them in your article.
