Claranet Spain's strategic objective in terms of security and quality of service is to achieve ISO 27001 certification in 2012. To achieve this standard, Claranet Spain will collaborate with the DNV (Det Norske Veritas) Certification Entity.
DNV is a world-leading certification body with list of telegram users in belgium internationally recognised prestige, and with whom a certification commitment has already been made for this year. At Claranet Spain, the certification process is led internally by the Quality and Continuous Improvement Department.
The reasons that have led Claranet Spain to make the decision to implement an Information Security Management System within the ISO 27001 standard are the following:

Increase the added value of its managed services portfolio in both the Networks and Hosting sections , and especially in services based on Cloud technology , where Claranet is making a great effort to position itself as a quality benchmark in the market.
Related to the above, aligning with the Claranet Group strategy through which the different branches have progressively achieved certification in this security standard. A decisive commitment to the protection of its clients' business assets.
Finally, and related to the previous point, reinforce confidence in the security of their information systems both for those clients who have been working with Claranet for some time, as well as for all those who decide to use their services in the future.

Claranet Spain's Director of Quality and Continuous Improvement, Xavier PĂ©rez, highlighted: "We understand that due to the ongoing transformation of the market, motivated by the evolution of new technologies , there is an increasing need for companies to outsource their IT resources and systems to a reliable technology partner, capable of guaranteeing its clients an adequate level of availability, integrity and confidentiality of the information they provide, and that this is also verifiable."
Claranet has therefore finally decided to achieve this standard, through which it will be able to improve and update its quality system for information security. It is estimated that the process of achieving the standard will take place during the first quarters of 2012 and will end with the final certification in September 2012.
