Then, when we look at Egypt, we find that the hours before dawn are the best.
Key things
Okay, so what did we learn?
We found that the best time of day to send emails is between 10am and 11pm during the week and 9pm on Sundays.
And if you have to choose two days of the week, it should be Tuesday and Thursday.
But it also depends on where in the world your recipients are. For example, if you have subscribers in Egypt, then these times are not ideal because they have higher engagement early in the morning.
What about sending emails over the holidays?
So can we apply what we’ve learned to email campaigns that run during the holidays?
Great question. Hubspot has several answers.
They conducted an analysis based on emails sent from popular American holidays such as Thanksgiving, New Year's, Christmas, Veterans Day, Memorial Day, and the 4th of July.
Let’s start with Thanksgiving. When they analyzed open rates on student data the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, they saw a 6% drop. And the engagement rate continued to decline until Monday.
Hubspot ThanksgivingDespite the belief that email is a thing of the past, studies show that an email marketing campaign is still the best way to generate leads , alongside direct customer engagement, social media, and opt-in pop-ups . However, no matter how good your emails are, they won’t do much for your business if they don’t reach their intended recipients.
That's why you need to understand the importance of your sender reputation and how to protect it.
